Welcome To The Nutmeg Inn

We are pleased to be your hosts at this historic country inn—a respite from everyday life in the heart of the New Hampshire Lakes Region. Located just five minutes away from downtown Meredith and beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee, the Nutmeg Inn’s provenance dates back to 1763 as the *Eliphalet Rawlings Homestead. On our quiet, seven-acre property, you will be transported back to a simpler time while surrounded by all the comforts of modern life. Children under six years of age are welcome in either of our suites. *The Elephalet Rawlings Homestead was entered into the New Hampshire Registry of Historic Places in January, 2020.

Served in either of two dining areas, and in good weather, on our outdoor seating areas, we provide a hearty breakfast to start your morning. Coffee and tea are ready at 7AM, so you can enjoy your wake-up cup whenever you are ready. If you require decaf coffee for breakfast, please let us know the night before so that we can be prepared. Breakfast is served daily between 8AM and 9:30AM. We serve a fruit starter, French toast or an egg dish like artichoke quiche, Kevin’s sourdough bread and Karen’s granola. Everything is homemade. Coffee, teas, flavored seltzer waters and regional micro-brewed beers are available 24/7 in our guest beverage area. We will do our best to accommodate any special dietary needs (please let us know when you reserve your room).
